As a rookie, Kobe Bryant earned himself a reputation as a high-flyer and quickly became a fan favorite by winning the 1997 Slam Dunk Contest. Bryant led the Lakers to three consecutive NBA championships from 2000 to 2002 and was awarded the regular season’s MVP in 2008. After losing in the 2008 NBA Finals, Bryant led the Lakers to two consecutive championships in 2009 and 2010, earning the NBA Finals MVP Award on both occasions. Kobe is the all-time leading scorer in Lakers franchise history and Sporting News named Bryant the top NBA player of the 2000’s. Adidas manufactured size “13.5” black shoes with white and grey trim. Kobe signed the outside toe of both shoes in silver marker and display boldly. The shoes originate from a Lakers Ball Boy, who got them after a game. Bryant usually wore these shoes during road games. The shoes would make a perfect complement to our debut shoes in the auction. Shoes show good wear. Impossible to find rookie Game worn Kobe Bryant shoes. Comes with a D.C. Sports Collectibles Letter of Authenticity, a MEARS Letter of Authenticity, a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
