"Four Stars" is a twenty-five-hour film directed/produced by Warhol in 1966-7. Rarely shown in its entirety, the film is projected by superimposing two reels on top of one another, attempting to push the viewers' understanding of the linear trajectory of time.
In 1967 the debut of the film took place at the New Cinema Playhouse in New York City. The underground film only screened the whole 25 hours at this performance, from then on sections of the clips would be shown to small audiences.
This poster is advertising a ninety-minute segment to be shown at the University of St. Thomas. It was followed by a discussion that included Warhol, Paul Morrissey (who directed many of Warhol's movies), and Viva (a Warhol Superstar featured in the film).
