Elton John original Jack Robinson special edition gelatin silver photograph. A Sir Elton John photograph from his photo session at Jack Robinson’s studio in Greenwich Village where he is playing his piano, from November, 1970. Only 23 at the time, John was touring to support his soon-to-be-released third album, “Tumbleweed Connection”. Only ten days after this photo session, John would perform live on WABC radio in New York. He would later release that radio concert as the album “11-17-70”. It was his fifth official album and his first live album released in May of 1971. The photograph was hand-printed from Jack Robinson’s original negative in 2000 at the Jack Robinson Archive and Gallery darkroom in Memphis, TN and is hand-stamped on the verso. Measures 20 x 24. Very good condition. Comes with an embossed and stamped first edition book on Jack Robinson published in 2011 by Palazzo Editions in England. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
