These are Elvis Presley's owned and stage worn black patent leather boots made by the Italian boot company Verde, his favorite. The boots are a size 11D and are in excellent condition. Comes with a letter from Charlie Hodge who was a long-time friend of Elvis' (they met in the army) and who worked for him on tour and at Graceland, living there for 16 years. One of Charlie's jobs was to wipe Elvis's boots with Vaseline before he went on stage so they had a very high gloss. Elvis gave Charlie the boots in 1976. Also included is a letter from Richard Davis, Elvis' valet, who states that Elvis wore the boots on stage and that Elvis gave the boots to Charlie Hodge. In addition, the photographs shown here of Elvis wearing the same, or extremely similar, boots on stage, accompany the lot. Estimate: $5,000 - $7,000.
