This is an original Elvis Presley concert poster for a 1955 show at the Auditorium in Memphis, Tennessee. The concert took place during Elvis’ Sun Records Era, and this is the second-earliest known Elvis concert poster in existence. It’s almost unimaginable to find King of Rock himself fifth-billed on a concert poster, but it goes to show how early along this was in his career. The day of this show also carried a lot of history for Elvis. Between the 3:00 and 8:00 show mentioned on the poster, Elvis ate lunch with Sun Records owner Sam Phillips and future manager Colonel Tom Parker. The cardboard poster is in good condition. Measures 14” x 22”. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
