Elvis Presley owned and worn 14kt gold ring with a very large black star sapphire surrounded by diamonds pinky ring. Elvis wore this ring in the early 1970's . The ring originally came from the personal collection of Patti Parry, whom Elvis gave the ring to. Patti was the only female member of Elvis's "Memphis Mafia" the group that made up Elvis's closest friends and confidants, he would often call her "little sister". Patti often styled Elvis's hair and she styled it for his Aloha from Hawaii Special. According to Patti, Elvis wore rings on almost every finger in the 1970's, and this was one of his favorite styles - the black sapphire star with diamonds. He was extremely generous and if a friend was admiring one of his rings he would often just give it to them. Elvis gave this ring to Patti, right off his finger, in the late summer of 1972 when he was performing in Las Vegas and Patti had gone out to visit him. One day in his Hilton Hotel suite, he was taking off all of rings, and this was the last one. He noticed Patti admiring the ring and he gave it to her. She kept the ring in her personal collection for many years. Ring size 7.75. Very good condition. Comes with a letter from Patti Parry and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
