Elvis Presley has signed and inscribed this yearbook from his high school, the 1953 Humes High School Annual, next to his picture and name, "Best of luck to a swell guy, Elvis" in blue ink. Elvis' high school was located in Memphis, Tennessee and the Annual has all of the original "Singing Hillbillies Band" members which was Elvis' first band. There is a description in the yearbook of the band playing at the Silver Horse, and the band members have also signed at their pictures. George Klein, Elvis' classmate and life long friend who was best known as a famed Memphis DJ has a half-page devoted to him with a picture and short description. George was an important rock and roll icon in his own right. Elvis was George's best man at his wedding and he was a pallbearer at Elvis' funeral. Annual originally belonged to Elvis' classmate Gene Schneider. Measures 8 x 11 x .5. In very good condition, the Annual came from Memphis Estate. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
