This custom made costume was made for the famous dance sequence scene in Elvis Presley's movie "Jailhouse Rock." The jacket features the number that Elvis's costume bore "6240" indicating that it may have been made for him specifically. The MGM label appears on the inside of the jacket collar and you can just make out the letters "EL" that had been handwritten on it. The MGM "stamp" appear on the inside of the back of the the jacket. The MGM label and stamp also appear on the inside of the pants waist. Very good condition. The costume comes with a letter of provenance from Bill Tuttle, the head of the makeup department at MGM who did all of Elvis' makeup for "Jailhouse Rock" and a photograph of Elvis from the "Jailhouse Rock" dance sequence. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
