Iron Maiden lead guitarist Janick Gers owned and played this iconic black Fender Stratocaster, nicknamed “JG02”, starting from the 1993 “Real Live” Tour up until the Brixton Academy gigs from March, 23, 2002. The Brixton Academy show was a benefit show for old Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, who was suffering from sclerosis. What makes this guitar so special is it is also signed by all of Iron Maiden, including Janick Gers, Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Bruce Dickinson, Nicko McBrain and Clive Burr. The guitar comes from famed Iron Maiden guitar tech Kevin “Batty” Walsh. Walsh started working as Iron Maiden’s main guitar tech on the “No Prayer On The Road” Tour in 1990 and was full-time until he departed in 2002 after the Brixton Academy Show. As a departing gift, Janick Gers gave Walsh one of his main Stratocasters and got everyone to sign it. A one-of-a-kind piece of Iron Maiden memorabilia. Very good condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from Kevin “Batty” Walsh, a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
