Janet Jackson's circa 1990s owned and stage worn gorgeously embellished black "military-style" jacket with gold stars, and white fringe on the shoulders. From the collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. Pate was well-known in show business for over four decades. Over his long career, he and his wife Clarine Pate, obtained a large collection of personal clotting and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. When traveling on concert tours Pate often would obtain many of these articles from both crew members and venue staff. Janet Jackson left this stage jacket behind after a live appearance in the 1990s, where it was found by a venue employee. Later, the employee gave the jacket to Pate after he told him of his collection. It has been in the Pate's collection every since. Very good, stage worn condition. Comes with a letter from Pate's widow, Clarine Pate, on Pate Booking Agency letterhead, and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
