Janet Jackson wore this stunning necklace in her music video "If". The necklace was created by Mary Hancock Doug from The Mummy's Bundle store in Arizona. It was purchased by a stylist specifically for Janet to wear in the music video and you can clearly see her wearing this necklace in the video. All of Mary Hancock Doug necklaces are all unique, individually created necklaces. After the video shoot the necklace was offered as a competition prize for Janet Jackson fans but the necklace went unclaimed and it remained in the offices of Virgin Records. The necklace was eventually gifted to a male employee who brought it home and gave it to his wife, who never wore it and she felt it didn't suit her. In very good condition, the necklace comes with a letter of provenance from the woman who received it from her husband who worked at Virgin and kept it in her personal collection up to the time of this auction. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll® Certificate of Authenticity.
