The bird is handmade of clay and painted with several vibrant yet intricately placed colours. According to Deal, "I'm a 2D Traditional director, designer, Emmy nominated animator. Previous clients include Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, MTV, and PBS Kids."
The cartoonish style for which Deal has become so famous is evident in both the sculpture and the box in which it is so carefully packed with green strips of paper to mimic a nest. The box is the bird's house, with a velcro top to allow the bird easy access.
Truly a unique piece, with the ability to take on several narratives similar to the animated adventures Deal works on today.
