In 1983 Penthouse Magazine published an interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono titled “The Later Years”. It was a BIG DEAL in the publishing world, and Bob Guccione, publisher of the magazine, also was known for his extensive art collection. He apparently owned an early work by Kunio Hagio and consigned from him a painting to accompany the interview and subsequently had this cropped blow up mounted on poster board to display at the entrance to the ballroom where he held an extravagant celebration. This poster is a “one-off” Guccione created and the owner knows the woman who worked in the industry at the time and asked, when leaving the event, if she could have the poster. It was professionally separated from the poster board, archivally mounted on linen and framed in a slim, rounded silver frame under UV plexiglass. Measures 32” x 46”. Very good condition. a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
