John Lennon and Yoko Ono signed the inside lid of this presentation box for their 1969 "Wedding Album" in purple ink, "To Mr. & Mrs. Hanratty, love from John Lennon" and "Yoko Ono Lennon." Lennon has added a Hand Drawn caricature sketch of his and Yoko's smiling faces. John presented this album to the parents of James Hanratty, one of the last men to be hanged in the UK at Bedford Prison in 1962, at their home in Kingsbury, 1969. The trial had been controversial and the Lennon supported the family's campaign to have the case re-examined. Measures 19 x 32.75, framed.
