These are two original envelopes from John Lennon and Yoko Ono to their close friend Sam Green. The envelope pictured on the bottom is in John's hand and he has address it to Green. The envelope bears a Christmas themed postal stamp and appears to be the envelope for a holiday card. The envelope on the top has been hand addressed by Yoko to Sam Green's and it bears John and Yoko's home return address at the Dakota, with "Studio One". This envelope was most likely hand-delivered as the address was only a few block away. Sam Green was a very well known art curator and director, especially of American pop art and the works of his friend Andy Warhol. Green knew Yoko Ono from when she lived in Japan and he was an admirer of her flat mate who was an artist. After she and Lennon got married and subsequently moved to the Dakota they became quite close to Green. In fact Lennon had named Green as the guardian for their son Sean should he and and Yoko die at the same time. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
