John Quincy Adams — the 6th President of the United States — wrote this letter inscribed to “Mr. Seaton” and dated September 5th, 1842, using black ink. Adams served as President from 1825 to 1829, and was the eldest son of the 2nd United States President John Adams. He was a career politician/statesman and made many contributions to the development of the United States as a global presence. This piece is as much a historical letter as it is a political one, as it is one of the oldest pieces in the auction. Good condition. Measures 8” x 4.5”. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Letter of Authenticity.
