American playwright Lillian Hellman has signed this letter typed on her personal letterhead and dated 1965. Hellman was at the height of her powers during the 1940's, and had numerous Broadway hits in both the 40's and 50's. One of her plays, "The Little Foxes", was adapted into a film starring Bettie Davis — and Hellman became the first woman nominated for a Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for work. Very Good condition. Measures 5.5" x 7". Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
