From Bill Porter's personal collection, his personalized denim studded jacket and pants designed for him as Elvis Presley's sound engineer (hence the fabulous studded microphone on the back of the jacket!). A long time friend of Elvis, Porter is renowned for engineering nearly all of Elvis’ post 1960 hits until his death in 1977. Recording with Elvis in the celebrated “Studio B” in Nashville, Porter helped to craft some of Elvis’ greatest hits including, “Are You Lonesome Tonight” and “It’s Now or Never." Porter’s album recordings with Elvis include “Elvis Is Back," “His Hand In Mine,” “Pot Luck," and “Something for Everybody." Bill designed the sound system for Graceland, went on the road with Elvis from 1969 to 1977 and recorded many of Elvis’ “Live In Las Vegas” shows.
