This is Jimi Hendrix's earliest known contract, dated October 15, 1965. The contract, typed on 8.5" x 11" PPX Enterprises, Inc letterhead, is between Hendrix and PPX, signed by Hendrix "Jimmy Hendrix" in blue ballpoint pen, and refers to Hendrix as "Jimmy" Hendrix throughout. The contract, for $1, was for Hendrix to play and/or sing exclusively for three years from the date of the contract. In addition to the $1 that was to be paid to Hendrix he would receive "one (1) percent of retail selling price of all records sold for his production efforts, minimum scale for arrangements he produces." Comes with PPX Enterprises envelope as well as the black and white photograph featuring a very young Hendrix shown here. Very good condition. Estimate: $225,000 - $250,000.
