Elvis Presley owned and wore this Nudie's ensemble in the 1970's. Both the pants and the jacket bear the Nudie's label. Nudie's was the maker of Elvis' famous $10,000 gold lame suit in the 1950's and made several of his outfits for the film "Loving You", continuing to make pieces for Elvis over the years. The paisley print shirt accompanying the jacket and pants bears the "Mr. Rays Palm Springs" label. Mr. Rays was located near where Elvis had several homes and it was one of Elvis' favorite places to shop. This lot comes with letters of provenance including a letter from Nudie's daughter, Jamie, and an original Nudie's wooden hanger. Very good condition. The shirt comes with a letter from "Memphis Mafia" member Richard Davis who was also Elvis' valet and a movie extra in many of his films. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
