A magnificent example of a vintage H & B Louisville Slugger Lou Gehrig signature model baseball bat from the early 1940’s. Gehrig, one of the greatest baseball players of all time was a 7x All Star, 6x World Series champion and 2x AL MVP, finishing his career with an unbelievable .340 batting average. He was the first player to have his number (4) retired by an MLB team. The Lou Gehrig Memorial Award is given annually to a player who best exhibits Gehrig's class and integrity. Very good condition with a repaired crack in the handle. Bat measures 34” and weighs 34 ounces. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
