Madonna wore this 1930’s mid-length dress as her character Eva Peron in her 1996 film "Evita”. The burgundy colored sheer silk rouched V-neck dress with horizontal knife pleat bodice and tulip sleeves has the original costumer’s tag sewn inside as well as a sewn in production label with the name “Madonna” clearly visible. Madonna wore this outfit onscreen during the musical number “Goodnight and Thank You” where Eva drops her previous lover for a radio station executive. Very good, screen worn condition. The dress is accompanied by photos from the film showing Madonna wearing the dress and a letter of authenticity from Palace Costumes signed by Melody Barnett.
