Madonna's "V Magazine" worn luxurious, vintage pure Canadian white fox fur stole that is connected by Swarovski crystals. Madonna wore this extraordinary stole for her photo layout in V Magazine’s #133, Winter 2021 Issue that was inspired by Marilyn Monroe’s famous Bert Stern series "The Last Sitting." Madonna was featured on the cover and then in a multi-page layout homage to Marilyn. Starting with Madonna's 1985 "Material Girl" music video where she played tribute to Marilyn's performance of "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend," Madonna has often been connected to the beloved movie star, and it was fitting that she portray her in this gorgeous magazine layout - one icon's salute to an earlier icon, who clearly had an influence on her superstar style.
This sumptuous pure Canadian fox fur stole, which is connected by Swarovski crystals, was originally purchased about 10 years ago at the French auction house Drouot in Paris. It was only worn once by the owner who subsequently had it archived at New York Vintage in New York City for a period of time, where is was rented for Madonna's V Magazine photo shoot.
Very good condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from the owner of the stole who bought it in Paris and then had it archived at New York Vintage where it was rented for the photo shoot, a copy of the V Magazine featuring the layout, and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
