Marilyn Monroe wore this gold wedding ring in her 1953 film "Niagara", a film noir thrilled directed by Henry Hathaway. It was the first of Marilyn's films where she was giving first billing and Marilyn can be seen throughout the film wearing the ring. Dorothy Jeakins, who worked as the film's costume designer, gave the ring to her close friend Judy Kane in 1962, shorty after Marilyn's death. It was Jeakins' responsibility to ensure Marilyn was fitted for all costumes, but due to a strike the costume fitting were delayed. Because of the delay, Marilyn had to wear this ring, which was a few sizes too small for her, and reportedly caused her discomfort, to ensure continuity. Jeakins had held on to the ring, and in 1962, right after Marilyn's death, she gave it to her friend Judy Kane who she knew was a huge Marilyn Monroe fan. Very good condition, the ring has a serial number stamped inside. The ring comes with a letter from Judy Kane and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
