This is Marilyn Monroe's pink and white bustier worn during the production of her famous film "Some Like It Hot". The bustier. a Georgian cotton-style trimmed with white lace, is accompanied by a heart shaped brass plaque reading: "Designed by Orry Kelly for Marilyn Monroe 1959 (Some Like it Hot) - Donated to the Albatross, Las Flores, Malibu, by Joe E. Brown and Family 1963." Stamps and labels inside the garment read "Custom Fitted" - "Property of United Artists" "Studio Only" - "Hollywood California" Name: "Marilyn Monroe" "Size Sm 37 Date 2.59. orryke." The Albatross was a club for recreation and pleasure in Las Flores, Malibu Beach, California. Joe E Brown, one of the supporting cast members in "Some Like it Hot" frequented this club and thus presented the garment to hang in the club foyer. The bustier is in excellent condition given its age. Originally auctioned by Bonham's in London, 2007, comes with a letter of authenticity from Gotta Have Rock & Roll®.
