This is a handwritten letter by Samuel Clemens known better as the beloved, Mark Twain. The letter is dated February 2nd, 1894. He writes, "Revered there sir; I send it with pleasure. But you'd better quarantine it a spell for I do think that this club is one of the very worldliesh places I've ever struck. Truly yours, Mark Twain." Twain was lauded as the "greatest humorist the United States has produced," and William Faulkner called him "the father of American literature". His novels include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and its sequel, the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1884), the latter often called "The Great American Novel." Letter measures 4.5 x 7, envelope measures 3.5 x 5. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
