A Dutch vinyl pressing of Michael Jackson’s 1987 album ‘BAD’ that has been autographed on the front cover by Michael Jackson in red pen. The autograph was obtained at the Hilton Hotel, Rotterdam, Holland on 5th June 1988 after Michael show in the city on the same day. Comes with a detailed letter from the original recipient that reads ‘In the eighties I started collecting autographs too, but only “in person”. I found out, that the best way to get them, is figure out in which hotel the artists stay. After a show, the pressure is off and then (far away from the concert-venue) you have the best chance. “Bad” was signed by Michael after his show in Rotterdam on June 5th 1988 (from the “Bad tour”) in the lobby of the Rotterdam Hilton. I was waiting in the lobby, there were 8 fans present. Around 00.30 hour, some cars arrived and the entourage entered the entrance of the hotel. Michael was besieged by some fans, but bodyguards obstructed any contact. I recognized Frank DiLeo (Michael's manager) and asked (yelled) if he could hand the LP-cover over to Michael. It was a brilliant move. He gave Michael the cover and it was signed while he was standing in the elevator (doors still open). Within 30 seconds Frank gave me the signed LP back. | was the only one who got an autograph! There’s no photo of the actual signing, because of the massive, obstructive bodyguards and the “speed of light moment”. Now I’m 62 years old and I decided to “thin” my big collection’. The condition is excellent. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
