President Franklin D. Roosevelt has signed and inscribed this handsome 8 X 11 original black and white photograph that pictures him seated at his desk, to Dennis Chavez, in black fountain pen. Chavez served in the U.S. House of Representatives and as the first Hispanic elected to a full term in the U.S. Senate. Accompanied by a copy of a letter to the White House from Senator Chavez requesting a signed photograph. Franklin D. Roosevelt was the 32nd president of the United States and served from 1933 until his death in 1945. A member of the Democratic Party, he won a record of four presidential elections and became one of the most important figures for the first half of 20th century. Roosevelt helped navigate the United states through the Great Depression, World War II and his social security program. Framed in an attractive frame with an easel back. 20 X 18.
