Ralph Branca (Brooklyn Dodgers) has signed this 8 x 10 color photograph in blue sharpie pen. Branca is usually remembered for giving up the "Shot Heard 'Round the World'" when he came in to face one batter (Bobby Thomson) in the third playoff came to decide the 1951 National League Title. In his second throw in the bottom of the ninth Branca gave up the Thomson home run, an event less frequently referred to as the "Miracle of Coogan Bluff," with the New York Giants winning the NL pennant and going on to beat the Cleveland Indians for the 1951 World Series Championship.
