Sam& Dave and the King Curtis horn section original Jack Robinson special edition Chromogenic print (C-Type print). Shown here is the horn section performing at the Soul Together Concert at Madison Square Garden in June 1968. All proceeds went to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Fund. Appearing were Aretha Franklin, Sam and Dave, Sonny and Cher, The Rascals, Joe Tex and King Curtis. The photograph was hand-printed from Jack Robinson’s original negative in 2000 at the Jack Robinson Archive and Gallery darkroom in Memphis, TN and is hand-stamped on the verso.A C-print, also known as a C-type print or Chromogenic print, is a photographic print made from a color negative or slide. The color negative or slide is exposed to Chromogenic photographic paper (wet process paper) that contains three emulsion layers, each of which is sensitized to a different primary color. After the image has been exposed it is submerged in a chemical bath, where each layer reacts to the chemicals to create a full-color image. Because the chemicals are so complex, the image continues to react even after the process is completed. Measures 20 x 24. Very good condition. Comes with an embossed and stamped first edition book on Jack Robinson published in 2011 by Palazzo Editions in England. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
