The Doors band signed 8 x 10 black and white Elektra Records publicity photograph. Signed in blue ballpoint pen by all four band members, Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarak, Robby Krieger and John Densmore. This is the finest known example. The photograph was signed during The Doors visit to Denmark and Sweden in September 1968 and originally belonged to Jan Abramowitz who was label manager/A&R at the Danish branch of Metronome (the label that released The Doors records in Scandinavia. Jan Abramowitz also worked at music newspapers in Denmark such as the legendary "Superlove", "Vi Unge", "Berlingske Tidende", "High Fidelity" and "New Elektronik". The photograph was later obtained by Danish music journalist Jan Sneum, who obtained it from Abramowitz, and this photograph comes from his huge collection of memorabilia that he left behind when he passed away in 2020. Jan Sneum worked with Abramowitz at "Superlove". A similarly signed photo was used for the sleeve of the Scandinavia 7" release of "Tell All The People" on Metronome from 1969. An original record sleeve, with the record, is included in this lot. Also accompanied by a detailed description of the provenance as well as original correspondence on The Doors official Santa Monica Boulevard stationery to and from Denmark in May, June and October 1968. Very good condition. Comes with a Roger Epperson Letter of Authenticity (REAL) and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
