Tom Petty's owned and worn sterling silver ring with a unique "claw" design. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers, including Tom Petty. Irwin knew Tom Petty and worked with him on a few occasions. During one of their meetings Irwin told Tom about his celebrity memorabilia collection and Tom gifted Irwin this ring, which he was wearing at the time. The ring has been in the possession of the Pates up to the time of this auction. Very good condition. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and this ring comes with a letter of provenance from his wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
