Otis Redding “Respect” Globe Boxing Style Poster

It has that classic boxing style concert poster look, and though letterpress printed on cardboard, it is not a concert poster. Especially made to promote Redding's release of his self-penned "RESPECT", a song that would catapult Aretha Franklin to stardom in 1967. Future Capricorn Records boss Phil Walden represented Redding and together they created their own business empire in the mid-60's. The partnership came to an end with Redding's tragic death in 1967. We're aware of only a few examples of this cardboard poster; one is at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Redding's hometown of Macon and another at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
