Twenty-five bold blue ballpoint signatures adorn this baseball. Highlights include the vivid 1955 signature of Mickey Mantle cleanly signed on a side panel. Other notable signatures include Hall of Famers Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford and Phil Rizzuto and the key autographs of Hank Bauer, Gil McDougald, Bob Turley, Andy Carey, Elston Howard, Irv Noren, Bob Cerv and Don Larsen who one year later would make history by pitching the only perfect game in World Series history. This Yankee team met the Brooklyn Dodgers in the World Series for the third time in four years with the Dodgers claiming their only Brooklyn World Series Championship in seven games.
