While the Beatles were recipients of countless gifts during their touring years, it is a rarity to come across a gift from the Beatles. A particularly remarkable artifact from the Bob Bonis collection is this silver-plated, flip top note pad holder and pencil set; the flip top engraved as follows: "TO BOB, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING...JOHN, PAUL, GEORGE, RINGO...1966." The first name signatures are replicated in The Beatles own handwriting. The set is engraved with the luxury jeweler's boutique "ASPREY LONDON" logo. The heavily textured pencil also bears the jeweler's logo. It appears that the entire original gold-leaf edged note pad is still intact. Written in pencil on the pad's top page is "Expo contest...fill in ROBBS Aug." This is most likely a reference to The Robbs, who were the house band on Dick Clark's "Where The Action Is" in 1966. The 3.25" x 6" x1" silver-plated desk set will be like new after an application of silver polish. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
