Eddie Van Halen handwrote this note on Hyatt Hotel notepaper to his publicist Steven Mandel, circa 1982-84 while Van Halen was on tour. In the note Eddie asks Steve if he can do his interviews as soon as possible because he's "a bit fried." The note originally came from the private collection of Steven Mandel, one of the premier music industry publicists between 1979 and 1994. Throughout his career Mandel worked for the The Press Office, Rogers & Cowan, record companies and directly for bands and artists including Van Halen, David Lee Roth, David Bowie, Wham, George Michael, the Beasties Boys, Pink Floyd and many more. Handwritten in blue ballpoint pen. Measures approximately 4 x 5.5. Very good condition. Comes with a Roger Epperson Certificate of Authenticity (REAL), a certificate of authenticity signed by Steve Mandel, and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
