Eleanor Roosevelt typed letter signed on the Executive Mansion stationery from the New York State Governor’s office of her husband Franklin D. Roosevelt. Dated August 2, 1932 Roosevelt thanks the recipient for his gift of “…precious tulips.” in 1933 Eleanor became the First Lady of the United States following Franklin Roosevelt’s election to the Presidency of the United States. Eleanor is credited with reshaping and redefining the role of the First Lady and was ranked by Gallup as one of the most admired women of the 20th Century. Signed in black fountain pen. 5.75 X 7.5. Very good condition. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Certificate of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
