Elvis Presley owned and used small gold and green enameled box. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades he promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin knew Elvis Presley and was good friends with his manager Colonel Tom Parker. Irwin worked with Elvis and the Colonel several times over the years before Elvis passed away. This small gold and green enameled box that was owned and used by Elvis in the 1960's was obtained by Irwin from the Colonel in the late 1970's after Elvis passed away. The Colonel gifted Irwin some articles that belonged to Elvis after Irwin told him that he was a collector. The box has been in the possession of the Pates up to the time of this auction. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and this item comes with a letter of provenance from Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
