This is Elvis Presley's belt buckle worn by Elvis on stage in various performances as can be seen in the photographs shown here. This metal belt buckle, measuring 3.25 x 2.25 and bearing the RCA "Victor" insignia and picture of the dog listening to the Victrola phonograph with "His Master's Voice" below it was attached to various elaborate belts that Elvis would wear on stage. The buckle was obtained by Tim Franklin, an employee of I.C. Costume Company in Hollywood during the 1970's. Mr. Franklin was responsible for removing many of the attachments from Elvis' belts and jumpsuits and switching them out with new attachments from the inventory they had in stock. He would mark on the back of the belt buckle the location on the belt from where he removed it from. In this case he has marked "CTRT" in red to indicate that is was removed from the center right section of the belt. Buckles such as this one were purchased by I.C. from the Witon Belt Co. in Los Angeles, and in most cased were attached to the belt with fish wire because the wire was clear and could not easily be seen.
