Fender 1965 Precision Bass Screen Used in The Mega Blockbuster film “Bohemian Rhapsody”for John Deacon's Character.

"Bohemian Rhapsody" is a 2018 biographical musical drama film that focuses on the life of Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the British rock band Queen, from the formation of the band in 1970 to their 1985 Live Aid performance at the original Wembley Stadium. It was directed by Bryan Singer from a screenplay by Anthony McCarten, and produced by Graham King and Queen manager Jim Beach. It stars Rami Malek as Mercury, with Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joe Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Tom Hollander, and Mike Myers in supporting roles. Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor also served as consultants. A British-American venture, it was produced by Regency Enterprises, GK Films and Queen Films, and was distributed by 20th Century Fox.

After years of ups and downs with the development and production of the Freddie Mercury biopic, which we now know as Bohemian Rhapsody, things were finally coming together in 2017 as the final scenes of the movie were being filmed. Behind-the-scenes, hours and hours were dedicated to sourcing and reproducing the main featured instruments that are featured in the film. One such instrument is this Fender® 1965 Precision Bass created as a period-correct exact replica for the John Deacon part in the film.

The Fender paperwork for the custom order to replicate the original 1965 Deacon bass (with larger Fender logo as the identifier) is included with the lot. Subsequently this was the final instrument sent to the studio in London, just in time for the filming of the final concert scene.

The bass has major screen time and close-ups, as you can see, in the award-winning movie that did almost $1 billion in worldwide sales. The bass has been untouched since its return from production.

Good condition.
