A light pink feather boa, owned and worn by Jimi Hendrix both during a photoshoot circa 1967 for the "Are You Experienced" album cover, and used on the US and other issue versions of the LP, and then subsequently onstage at the Monterey Pop Festival. The boa was given a yellow appearance on the “Are You Experienced” Album Cover due to the infrared effect used. The item comes from Karl Ferris, who was the photographer for the “Are You Experienced” Album and was a friend of Jimi Hendrix. Ferris remembers Hendrix referring to this item as his “Magic” Boa, which holds to the significance of this item. Owning any Hendrix clothing is very rare, but owning something that was used on the “Are You Experienced” Album Cover and also for the Monterey Pop Festival shows the historical significance of the item. Measures 180 cm long. Very good condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from Karl Ferris and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
