John Tyler — the 10th President of the United States of America — signed this document addressed for the Secretary of State in black ink. Tyler served as President from 1841 to 1845 becoming the first Vice President to succeed to the Presidency without election after briefly serving as Vice-President in 1841 under William Henry Harrison who dies just one month after taking office. This is one of the oldest lots in the entire auction, as it is dated November 29, 1843. Good condition. Measures 9” x 6.25”. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Letter of Authenticity.
