Jonny Z's (Jonathan Zazula) personally owned original Metallica press kit mock-up that he has signed and inscribed on the back "original Metallica Press Kit. Jonny Z." in black sharpie pen. The press kit consists of the 8 x 10 black and white promo photo of the band from Megaforce Records (the same image that appears on the back of their album "Kill 'Em All"), an 8.5 x 11 Metallica glossy logo sheet, an 8.5 x 6 Metallica logo sticker, and copies of press clippings, a bio, and copies of flyers and ads for the band's gigs. The material is housed in a 9 x 11.5 glossy white folder with a Metallica logo sticker attached to the front and Jonny Z's signed inscription on the back. Jonny Z is the former owner of New Jersey's Rock'n Roll Heaven record store and founder of record label Megaforce Records. Zazula's record store in East Brunswick, New Jersey made him a central figure of the East Coast metal scene. His central role in the East Coast metal scene would later be an essential factor in launching the career of Metallica. Zazula offered the band their first opportunity to play in the New York area and organized their first tours with Raven, one of the leading metal bands from the UK at that time. After hearing the demo tape No Life 'Til Leather, he founded the label Megaforce Records to release their work. Zazula released Metallica's debut album Kill 'Em All and set up an East Coast tour with private funding. Very good condition. Comes a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
