Film, TV, and Broadway icon Katharine Hepburn signed this photograph taken for her for the August, 1987 cover of Newsweek entitled “Kate, A Rare Talk With the Invincible Hepburn.” The autograph is inscribed to the photographer who took this picture, and reads “To John, affectionately Kate.” Hepburn had one of the most prolific careers in entertainment of all time, and was named by the American Film Institute as the greatest female star of classic American cinema. She also won four Academy Awards throughout her career. Very good condition. The frame measures 18.5” x 22.5” and the photograph measures 11.5” x 15”. This lot also comes with a cover of the Newsweek magazine this photo is featured on as well as a write-up of the photo’s history on the back of the frame.
