Madonna has handwritten concert instructions on both sides of an 8 x 10.5 sheet of lined notebook paper. Madonna writes instructions for her concert performances of Borderline, Like a Virgin, Lucky Star, Burning Up and Tears of a Clown. The notes read in part, “Burning Up: Smoke should start this song…at one point beginning middle or end I should be on the platform at top of steps surrounded by flames down on my knees the platform disappears…the stage is dark.” Each song has detailed explanation for choreography and decor for the show.
