Madonna has handwritten 11 lines of working lyrics for her song "Goodbye To Innocence" on a lined notebook page. Written entirely in her own these lyrics are an early version of the song, which later appeared on the 1994 Sire Records compilation album "Just Say Roe: Volume VII of Just Say Yes." The lyrics to the recorded version differ slightly from the annotated version but the theme clearly stays the same. Madonna writes, "I feel like my body is, betraying me, like it's breaking down inside, just to spite me, and the world is silently whispering, jump - jump - jump, in a feeding frenzy, looking for the crack, waiting for me to fall, because you can't have it all, somebody made this rule“. These rare working copy of song lyrics is mounted, and framed together with a photograph of the queen of pop music. A fantastic piece of Madonna memorabilia, hand-written lyrics from any music artist being extremely rare and highly sought after. Very good condition.
