Elvis Presley has signed and inscribed this December, 1970 American Airlines schedule twice in blue ballpoint pen, "To Megan, from Elvis Presley" and "To Megan and Sarah, from Elvis Presley." The two girls were the daughters of a fellow passenger on Elvis' December 19, 1970 flight to Washington, D.C. to meet President Nixon. Elvis' spur-of-the-moment trip was a result of his being confronted by Priscilla and Vernon regarding his spending habits. He left Graceland without any bodyguards (a first), and drove himself to the Memphis airport. He got on the plane by himself, determined to meet the President and ask for the narcotics badge. Of course this famous meeting between Elvis and Nixon did take place, and Nixon presented him with a real narcotics badge. Measures 4 x 9.
