Bruce Springsteen's original handwritten draft working lyrics for his signature song "Thunder Road" in blue ballpoint pen on white, lined paper. What is truly remarkable is that as Bruce is working out the lyrics to "Thunder Road" he is creating the signature lines to his most iconic song "Born To Run" and also his anthem "Jungleland". Bruce writes after working the chorus to "Thunder Road", "maybe we were Born To Run". This line was later transformed into one the the most famous rock anthems as "Baby we were Born To Run". On the reverse Bruce has written "Beneath the City 2 Hearts Beat Souls Engines in Tender Silence" this went on to be a signature part of Bruce's iconic song "Jungleland". This is most likely the very first time Bruce put pen to paper those most important words of our generation. An incredible look into the creative process of one of rock and roll's greatest icons. One page, with writing on both sides, measures 8.5 x 11. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
