Twining at the Waldorf Astoria in December 1954. Lindbergh is listed as a guest at the Speaker’s Table with the rank of Brigadier General, United States Air Force Reserve. Lindbergh gained worldwide fame for making a nonstop flight from New York to Paris in his famous single engine plane, the Spirit of St. Louis.
