Charles Lindbergh has boldly signed “Charles A. Lindbergh,” in black fountain pen on the cover of this program from an Air Force tribute dinner to General Nathan F. Twining at the Waldorf Astoria in December 1954. Lindbergh is listed as a guest at the Speaker’s Table with the rank of Brigadier General, United States Air Force Reserve. Lindbergh gained worldwide fame for making a nonstop flight from New York to Paris in his famous single engine plane, the Spirit of St. Louis.
