Karen and Richard Carpenter who as siblings performed together as the Carpenters during a fourteen-year career (1969-1983) up until Karen’s tragic death from complications of anorexia, have signed this original 6.5 X 8.5 original black and white photograph that has been trimmed for display in an album. Signed Karen & Richard with Karen adding the inscription “Warm wishes Carpenters,” in black felt pen. Together they produced a record-breaking run of pop music hits with their signatures as the Carpenters exceedingly rare. Besides the noticeable trim to the photograph in the upper corners, there is a horizontal cut near the top of the photograph that doesn’t quite separate the photograph into two pieces. A small panel with the name “Carpenters” is attached to the bottom of the photograph. Good condition. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
